As a dyed in the wool Capitalist and a fan of Ayn Rand, I thought I would put these videos of John Stossel’s New Show up for you. Interesting viewing for sure.
In it he discusses Atlas Shrugged, the book by Ayn Rand with a number of people and he talks about the similarities that are going on today.
I am including all 6 videos.
If you want to read the book, I suggest that you don’t watch the videos until afterward.
Would love to know what you think if you have read the book. Enjoy!
Cheers,
Andrew Anderson
And, who did all this to us, to our beloved country? He grew the federal government under the excuse of the myth of the Constitution’s “implied powers.” He encouraged a federalized banking system that causes boom-and-bust cycles, while generating a massive national debt and increasing taxation. He increased the power of federal courts in order to replace individual freedom with community interests. He did everything he could to eliminate state’s rights and the rights of citizens. He lined the pockets of the wealthy, creating a government system dependent on graft, spoils to special interests, and patronage. State governments expected shares of federal monies as pork barrel spending. You think it is Obama? Think again. It was Alexander Hamilton. He caused a “Tea Party” revolution that resulted in the 1800 election of a libertarian for president, Thomas Jefferson. From him the Democratic Party was ultimately formed as a Libertarian Party, until the 20th century Democrats switched to Rousseau and Marx, as cited in THE CHANGING FACE OF DEMOCRATS on claysamerica.com.
First off, you are a business person, do yourself a favor and read Atlas Shrugged.
There are a lot of names for them, but Progressives about covers it all. And it is not just the Democrats although they are now the worst by far and they are following the Saul Alinsky. Which is to tear down the very structure of the democracy and transform it. This is some scary stuff and most of the current administration are followers of him.
It is all about a Nanny State and redistribution of wealth and taking away everything that made this country great.
The Elite in the Profressive movement are anti-capitalism, anti-individual choice and freedoms and pro-Big Government and pro-choices made for you. This extends from taking over banks and car companies, none of which is Constitutional, to adding layer upon layer of bureaucracy that businesses must jump through just to get into business and to stay in business.
Just look at them now proposing how much salt you can use. It is indicative where we are heading if we don’t stop.
Money will go elsewhere where it is welcomed. Which is why we are losing manufacturing jobs that will never ever come back as long as this continues. The same goes for high-tech jobs now as well.
