How To Improve Your Chances of Success In Anything That You Want To Do By 228%

Would you like to know what is holding you back from Success? There are more than likely only 3 things that are doing it and I am going to show you how to overcome them in the next 5 minutes.

Here goes….

So what is holding you back from doing starting your own business or expanding your existing one, or accomplishing practically anything for that matter?

I have seen this hundreds of times with people including myself in that the only thing holding people back from being successful are totally wrongly held beliefs in their very own head that they created (sometime on their own or sometimes with A LOT or a little help from other people) that keeps them (and you and me) from being successful at a task or even a whole business.

That belief often will show up before they actually do anything or right before they are successful and finishing and accomplishing what they started.

I am going to give you three tools and techniques that you can use to combat this that will improve your chances of success by 228%. They are not highly technical, expensive, or hard to do.

#1 – The first is to get out either a piece of paper, napkin, papyrus, chalk or white board and a writing instrument. Could be a crayon, a piece of charcoal or a pen or pencil. This can even be accomplished with one of those new fangled things called a computer.

The first wonderful technique from Anderson’s Arsenal is: To write down what you are going to do and the specific steps you need to take to make it happen. This can usually be accomplished in as little as 2 minutes. Yet those 2 minutes can be the most important 2 minutes of the whole project.

I know it is monumental and shocking, but if you don’t write it down, I can almost guarantee that you are going to fail at whatever it is that you are going to do period. There are numerous studies backing up this very simple technique for success.

Now when you do this it is very important steps that need to be done and state them in such a way that there definitive and actionable.

Here is an example…todo

#2 – Do something toward that goal on a scheduled basis for at least 30 days so that it can then become a habit. What this means is that you can do a little bit one day, and then wait three or four days and then do something else. You are better off spending 15 minutes each day or every other day doing something that gets you closer to your goal. If you don’t do this, again, your chances of success are dismal.

#3 – Now unless you are an athlete that had an exceptional coach you may have not done this one. Perhaps you have heard of it, but the big secret number 3 is visualization.

This is where you visualize you having succeeded at whatever it is that you started off to do. While it may sound like mumbo jumbo, again, it has been proven to work even better that actual physical practice.

In order to do this, you simply need to get comfortable in a quiet place and see yourself actually accomplishing the goal and play it through your head each day for say 5 to 10 minutes (more if you can) Try and make the experience as sensory rich as possible. If you can add sounds, colors, smells, to the scene that is great. But the most important thing is to see yourself actually having accomplishing the goal.

Now as far as increasing your percentage of success, I have to tell you that I sandbagged on the on the 228% figure and here is why, because it is actually closer to several 1,000% more but you probably would not have believed that.

You may have noticed that I did not address the whole wrongly held beliefs that I first mentioned yet either.

Well, here again that is pretty simple as well. If you believe that you can do something, you have a good chance to doing it. If you believe that you can’t, you are probably going to be almost 100% right.

This is because your subconscious will make sure that you don’t accomplish the task you have set for yourself and you won’t even know that you are doing it to yourself.   On the other hand, if you truly believe that you can do something, your chances of success increase many, many times. This is called the Pygmalion Effect (see my other post on this).

So you need to get your head around letting yourself obtain success. I have mentioned this book before but it is worth mentioning again. Snag a copy of T.Harv. Eker’s book “ Secrets Of The Millionaire Mind” if you are even thinking about doing anything involving money.

Once you read it, you will know exactly what I am talking about.  In the meantime, if you are not a multi-millionaire, or are successful at everything that you do, go ahead and try the things I mentioned and you will find that they do indeed work.

Cheers,

Andrew Anderson
